To resize the belt, follow these steps: 1. Find a thin screwdriver or nipper, opening the groove-door at the back of the buckle. 2. Take the strap out from the buckle. 3. Cut the strap to your desired size. 4. Put the sized strap back into the buckle and close the groove.

For a 42" waist, we recommend the 38-44 size as our waistbands can be trimmed, and you can always cut off more. The belt can be quickly adjusted when sitting down by gently pushing the lever on the side to unlock the ratchet, with 32 notches for a micro 0.25" adjustment. However, the belt may set off metal detectors and is not TSA approved, so you should remove it before going through security.
